About Performance :

In the play, against the backdrop of one family’s tragic story, our reality is portrayed in an allegorical and metaphorical format. The action unfolds around three main characters. Each of them is both a specific individual and a symbol at the same time.Teimuraz — an educated aristocrat, the last descendant of the Khevistavi lineage — becomes a victim of brute force. He lacks the ability to resist the opposing violence. His wife, Margo Qaplanishvili, also an aristocrat, turns into a lifeless existence beside the powerless Teimuraz. Margo’s personality is divided. She is portrayed by two different actresses — the young Margo and the transformed Margo. The violent and ignorant, yet physically strong Jaqo seizes all of their property and ultimately even claims Margo by force.

Premiere - 24.09.2014 in Batumi.

Duration - 90 minutes

The performance won two nominations of "The Best Teatrical Criation of the year" 2014:

  1. The best directing (Gocha Kapanadze);
  2. The best original music created for the play (Sandro Tediashvili)

In 2022, actor Ramaz Khomasuridze received the "Best Actor" award for his performance as Jaqo.
