Orphan boy, Zurrikela Vashalomidze lives in a village of Guria with his grandma Olga. They have an inseparable friendship with two sharp-tongued, but wise and generous elderly neighbors Iliko and Ilarion, who help grandma watching over the boy. Despite of war and famine these people never lose the sense of humor. Zurikela's first poem, first love letter, choose future profession for him and the story to leave for the town, everything happens in humor. However, the humor is accompanied by a great sadness ... The time passes. Zuriko graduates from the Institute in Tbilisi and comes back to his village…
